Artist's Statement about this work: This is my favorite time of the year in England. The colors are the deepest and it's usually damp. This scene had a structure which I always seem to include and some great English Oaks.... All that I needed.

Artist's Statement about this work: My art is predominately about presenting the face and torso of women, using expression, gesture, and personality to hopefully provide inspiration or acknowledgment of feelings or memories in the viewer. Using watercolors, especially on the face and hands, allows me to have command of the look I'm trying to portray. I often use gouache for the clothing and some of the hair.

Artist's Statement about this work: I took this picture while visiting Maui. I loved the boats, the sky and the reflections in the water. A storm was rolling in and the air smelled salty and a little foreboding. I added the flag because it just kind of felt right. Such a fun memory

Artist's Statement about this work: Water is mesmerising. Dynamic or static, it commands out attention. With so many allegorical meanings, we are enamored by water in its many forms, and it is fitting that the vehicle to carry the pigment of this image is water. One of the many proverbs related to water is the saying that "one can never step in the same river twice". This piece definitely reflects such a sentiment, as the horse that is carrying my friend Charles was shot to death last winter. Life, like the river, is ever changing...

This is Bryce Canyon, a chaotic riot of colors and shapes revealing nature's sublime artistry.

I tried to capture the hundred year old Juniper tree and get Monument Valley in the background. This painting is on 140 cold press watercolor paper.
